I am because we are; using the Ubuntu philosophy when coaching teams and leaders.
Ubuntu is a South African philosophy building on deep interdependence encouraging social harmony, empathy and collective responsibility. I am because you are! When coaching teams and their leaders I find this to be foundational in building harmonious collaborations. "A team is only as strong as its weakest link" is a saying, but true collaboration in the Ubuntu spirit erases the weakness because the team works as one, using the strength in every individual and inviting divers

Appreciating consistency in times of change
In times of rapid change it can be extra beneficial to recognise consistency and all those things that are stable around us. Let’s be honest humanity is exhausted from all the change at the moment. I say this with the privilege of having honest conversations with a large number of people of different backgrounds across the globe giving evidence of similar experiences and stories. The demands on people may vary but the fact that decisions need to be made and actions taken on s

Don't judge people who give themselves what they need to think.
When faced with a critical or stressful situation requiring you to make some important decisions one great way to aim for success is by offering yourself some space to think. This can be going for a run, listening to some music, dancing, meditating or perhaps playing tennis. I was surprised to read that the mayor of Berlin is being asked to resign because he chose to play tennis when faced with the challenge of the biggest electrical power outage since WW2. A place I go to when facing challenging situations. Don’t get me wrong, I bring my saboteurs on all my journeys, and I make mistakes but over the years I have learnt how to return to my cloud wa

The Global Mindset Starts from Within
For years now I have been working with people around the world, mixing cultures and languages to create a common understanding and goal, supporting people in discovering the Global Mindset. I justify my expertise in the field through my personal experience of working and living across three continents. However this is only partly true because I believe that a Global Mindset does not require extensive travel, the key to this mindset is curiosity, an open mind and generosity. A

The story we tell ourselves versus the story we tell others
International relocation is often a dream one has had for years that is finally coming true. However for some it just happens because of work, studies or love which involve other important criteria that also influence our story. Even when it's a longtime dream, international relocation does not necessarily become easier. If one's expectations aren't realistic it will still be a challenge, but it could be that one is more willing to compromise on things when this is a dream c
